Improving the Trail Head of the Forest Trail at Lake Houston Wilderness Park

The trail head of the Forest Trail at Lake Houston Wilderness Park was badly eroded and made it hard for any strollers to go down and bikers had to stop to go on the trail. We cleaned up the gravel deposited in the stream and installed a french drain. We also built a boardwalk connecting to the bridge. All this together will prevent erosion and destruction of a stream. It will also enable the many visitors afterward to enjoy their outdoor experience more fully. It was a wonderfull opportunity to work with people that care about others and the environment so much!
