Hawkesbury Canoe Classic to an Overnight Event which travels 111 kms of the Hawkesbury River from Windsor to Brooklyn in NSW Australia with some 400 plus paddlers over 24 hours period. The Event is support arm of the Arrows Foundation which provides monies and infrastructure to Medical research. The Scouts, Leaders and Parent Helpers provide to the paddlers support in the way of First Aid and pre-tapping to prevent hand blisters on the paddlers. The Scouts, Leaders and Parent Helpers follow the Paddlers down stream from the start to Bases down stream to provide assistance over night at these bases ,Yes they do get breaks and sleep most will do some 12 hours in the 24 hours event.
