Grooming the young minds for more female engagement

#Righting the wrong #Grooming our young minds for better female engagement and to aid in female empowerment Local celebrations for founder’s day took place in Ghana and It was awesome. This event was held at the Efua Sutherland park and majority of the attendees were our adorable and vibrant Cub Scouts. It felt great to see a lot of girls proudly in their uniform and partaking in a lot of entertaining yet educative activities. My main interest was to get interactive with these young ones especially the girls ,get to know their minds, what they thought about scouting and most importantly how scouting could help them achieve their goals. Indeed they had wonderful dreams and ambitions but with innocent eyes they asked virtually the same question ,”aunty since scouting is just marching ,camping and games, how does that help me be a doctor I smiled because I had been there In the simplest terms I explained ; In my experience as a scout Every little activity done when I was young I later found out groomed me into who I am today #The marching ,drills and campings teaches you discipline Most of the fun activities with friends builds your social skills and the ability to be a team Player Meetings and discussions builds your confidence and cognitive skills And most importantly community activities teaches you about SERVICE And these I can say are the building blocks to excelling in anything you want to do As scouts we volunteer to help make the world a better place because if there is a change in you then the world is changing too #Project righting the wrong #Grooming our young minds for better female engagement and to aid in female empowerment
