Green Skills Green Future

I was inspired by the core principles and motto of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, especially the guiding value of “Service Before Self.” The teachings of our Founder, Lord Baden-Powell, always emphasized character building, discipline, and service to society. Additionally, the nationwide cleanliness movement, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, motivated me to take small but meaningful steps at the school level.
First, a meeting was conducted with the Unit Leaders and student volunteers to explain the objective of the initiative — promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness, and teamwork. On the day of the drive, the activity began with a short briefing on safety measures and the importance of hygiene. One group cleaned classrooms and corridors. Another group focused on cleaning the school ground and surrounding areas.
Throughout the Swachhta and Green Campus Drive, I learned several valuable lessons that will stay with me for life. The most important lesson was that change begins with small actions. Even a simple step like cleaning our surroundings or watering plants can create a big impact when done collectively. I also learned the true meaning of teamwork and cooperation. When Scouts and Guides worked together with unity and discipline, the task became easier and more effective.
