First Male' Scout Group colleborated with the American Center Maldives to gather volunteers and collaborators from various NGOs and other partners to clean designated areas for 2-3 hours. The Clean-up was focused on different areas of Malé. Areas of focus were chosen via a heat map generated by our team. The end goal of this project is to minimize and eliminate the damage done to the environment and promote a more hygienic community.

These areas were discussed with the Participants before each event starts:

• Waste management
• Significance of Environment in Maldives
• Awareness of Environmental Issues currently faced in the Maldives
• Promoting the vision of a more hygienic community by advocating the use of bins & against littering

A net total of 1076.32 kgs of trash collected and disposed by 408 participants in just 2 hours!
