Forging Friendships, Changing Lives
The opportunity of changing our lives and other people's lives when sharing our time and helping orphans and elderly people in long permanency institutions.
Contact was made with a charity institution that shelters orphans and the elderly to understand their main needs. Following this contact, extensive planning involving the scout group and volunteer medical students from UNESC was carried out to provide support to the elderly and children at Lar Irmã Scheila and Lar Vovô Simeão. All branches of the Scout Group were present with the children, while medical students, supervised by volunteer doctors, provided care to the elderly.
Interaction and affection can bring people from different social classes, with different life stories, closer together, promoting humanization, peace and friendship.
