Food Garden for Local Retirement Centre

The project was started in 2017 and every year we have continued the project although under different circumstances since COVID and the garden now directly helps the retirement home
Cubs attend a session once a month where they donate and plant new vegetables and seeds. They make compost and weed the garden and water the garden. At the end of the year, they also harvest some of the vegetables / fruits and help make muffins for the residents
The cubs continue to learn and develop gardening skills. They also learn about different initiatives like composting, bee hives, how birds destroy crops, water saving
