The Red Pride Week or the Menstrual Hygiene Week marked by the Menstrual Hygiene Day on 28th May every year is inclined towards equipping young people with prerequisite awareness on menstruation while eliminating misconceptions revolving around the same. Hence, the same served as the motivation to channelise the week towards imparting knowledge among everyone.

The Bangalore South District Association initiated a dedicated programme inclined towards debunking the myths surrounding menstruation in alignment with celebrating the Menstrual Hygiene Week. The execution involved mobilising volunteers to disseminate knowledge on menstrual cycle and menstrual products while engaging in activities including hand printing, bracelet making and brainstorming.

The learnings, primarily emphasise on creating an environment conducive to robust reception among young people and ensuring that a comfortable atmosphere is maintained to maximise awareness on menstruation. Additionally, employment of creative practices such as hand printing, triggering interactions and making bracelets helped sustain the interest and energy throughout.
