A small group of Cub Scouts helped clean up rubbish from our local lake, Lake Burley Griffin, as part of the Clean Up Lake Burley Griffin community event. Our Cubs spend a lot of time canoeing on the lake during the summer, and the issue of rubbish on the lake was mentioned at Pack Council. One of our Cubs suggested it would be good to help clean up this rubbish. When we heard about the clean up day we decided to help out! Our small group of Cubs collected several bags of rubbish, including materials that will be able to be recycled.
