On October 7, approximately 180 senior citizens from the Tung Chung community were attending the Poon Choi luncheon in HKFEW Wong Cho Bau Secondary School, which is the community service event organized by the Lantau Island District (Hong Kong Scout Association). Besides enjoying a meal with the senior citizens, the Scout District provided each senior citizen with a goody bag with cookies, canned food and some daily essentials. It is our honor that we had invited students from local secondary school community service society to help bake cookies for the senior citizens. Besides baking cookies prior to the Poon Choi luncheon, we would invite those students to be the instructors during the parent-child cookie baking session in the morning for our grasshopper scouts and their parents. Moreover, our cub scouts from the District were being to demonstrate an Elder’s basic fitness exercise during the event and the Scouts were the producer for the Traditional Chinese Knotting, which tagged on each Goody bag.
