Community Cleanup in motithang area
I was motivated to do this clean-up because I noticed a lot of litter along the roads, footpaths, and near schools in our community. I wanted to make the area cleaner and safer for everyone
My friend and I started cleaning at the double turning near Motithang bus stop, moving toward the Takin Zoo area. We then took the JNSS footpath shortcut to Jigme Namgyel School, collecting trash along the way, including near the river and ministers’ residences. At the school, we cleaned the bus stop, footpaths, and gate area. We continued toward MHSS, picking up litter along the road and footpaths until the second gate, and finally disposed of all trash properly.
I learned the importance of keeping public spaces clean and how small actions can make a big difference in the community.
