In aquaponic, the medium that is used to plant plants is not soil, but coir (from coconut), clay ball, charcoal and others. For our aquaponic, we are using coir to plant our plants in the beakers. The coir was been supplied by Jabatan Pertanian for about 2 large bags. The coir need to be wash and clean as it was been mixed with soil. My teammates and i do the cleaning and washing of coir in our University only.It takes about more 2 hours in order to remove the soil. #SWAward
