Each Year 1st Salisbury Venturers, Scouts, Cubs, Joeys and Leaders clean up the Kaurna park wetlands for Clean Up Australia Day. For the last 5 years my family has done clean up Australia day at Kaurna park wetlands open to the public and the scouts have been involved. The last 2 years I have been leader in charge for the scouts to attend these clean ups. We usually have 20-30 scouts from all sections attend these. Outside of scouts I host many clean ups a year in our council area to clean up the little para river and the Barker greenfields wetlands and some other areas also. It is great to be able to help keep the local parks and rivers free from rubbish that could kill our wild life and make a difference to the planet.
