Child mortality
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
PROJECT
REDUCE CHILD MORTALITY
Ø Introduction
Education should not confine to the textbook. Apart from the bookish knowledge, we must come across many hands on experiences in the society. Scout and guide is one such organisation which promotes the students to develop life skills and allow the students to participate in different types of activities with people of society. These activities will help us to understand the problems of the society. So I always feel proud of this organisation.
In this regard we obtained a project on Reduce Child Mortality
. Diseases like pneumonia, birth asphyxia, diarrhea are commonly effected to children during some seasons. Lack of knowledge about the diseases, improper sanitation is the main cause for the death of children in and around of our town. Having all precautions taken by the government authority still child mortility is increasing So through this project we got an opportunity to know more about child mortility and we could educate the people of the town to take precautions from these problems and we believe that “PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE”.

o Uppinangady is a village area. So people here are not aware of the causes and effects of malaria. Dengue and some major diseases spread by mosquitoes
o Our village is not highly affected by diseases like diarrhoea ,pneumonia. Hence people here are not aware of this syndrome and its treatment.
