Can Growing Food Grow Responsibility?

Inspired by the idea that even a small garden can make a big difference. By growing fresh produce, we wanted to teach the community the value of every resource, promote responsible consumption, and show how mindful actions can benefit both people and the environment.
Scouts and Scout Leaders carried out the project through regular visits to the community garden, where Scouts planted, watered, weeded, composted, and harvested vegetables. By rotating tasks and sharing responsibilities, we kept the garden thriving while practicing responsible consumption and engaging the community in sustainable practices.
Scouts learned that responsible consumption starts with awareness and action. Growing and sharing our own food taught us the importance of patience, teamwork, and care for the environment, showing that small, consistent efforts can create a lasting impact on both the community and nature. #Scouts #ScoutsforSDG #GreenRising
