Building Everyday Leadership in Young People

I ran the 30 Days of Skills for Life Challenge as an online campaign, sharing daily posts that encouraged young people to build leadership and life skills. I worked with two colleagues running a similar Health Allies challenge, using social media to inspire and engage others in the spirit of learning and growth.
I was inspired by my passion for youth empowerment and the lessons from the Emerging Leaders Workshops. I wanted to help young people grow in confidence, discipline, and leadership through simple daily reflections.
I learned that consistency and planning are key to making an impact. Even small daily actions can inspire others when done with purpose. I also discovered the power of collaboration and how sharing ideas with others creates greater reach and meaning. Most importantly, I learned that personal growth is a continuous journey — one that starts with showing up every day.
