Buckeye Trail Maintenance

Buckeye Trail Maintenance

Troop 165 took part in a district camporee at Burr Oak State Park. Troop 165 members worked with the Buckeye Trail Association to rebuild a 200 yard stretch of the Buckeye Trail that had been bypassed due to fallen trees. The restored trail reduced erosion in the area and permitted the natural processes to reclaim the bypass trail spaces. This project helped reduce the environmental impact of the trail through the area and improved the trail safety for hikers.
