The Brighton Venturers Group, a community based outfit of the BSP Manila Council, in partnership with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines' Messenger of Peace Team led by the country's National MOP Coordinator: Sctr. Yasser Sarona supported SM City Manila (a division of SM Supermalls) and joined in switching off the lights in communities throughout Manila from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM in support of the annual Earth Hour campaign. The Switch Off ceremony was held at the Upper Ground Floor, Activity Center, SM City Manila last 29 March 2014. The event encouraged all individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a symbol for their commitment to the planet and promote awareness on how we can address the environmental crisis we're currently experiencing together.
