Boomerang Bags

The Cub Pack invited a local community group that is run by volunteers to a night of making reusable bags. The Boomerang Bags concept is set up that people can donate, make, big tote style bags out of recycled fabrics - fabrics such as sheets, shirts, towels, etc. This is set up to reduce the use of plastic bags, and eventually phase out the use of plastic bags for ever. The Cubs had fun and learned about reducing the use of plastic bags, whilst they cut up fabric, coloured/decorated bags and then some of them even helped sew the bags up. A great, fun way to get the Cub Scouts involved in protecting our environment and the harm that plastic bags do to our wildlife and flora. They are now set on using and making more of these Boomerang Bags. I'm so very proud of them and their efforts!
