Venture scouts of st Stephen secondary school in soroti district do a good turn after realizing the trading centre was littered with Rabbish,polyethylene bags,bushes allover the centre,the scouts in preparation for the national competition at kaazi (uganda)decided to swing into action to clean up Oderai trading centre after getting permission from the centre mayor,they slashed the bushes,they swept the trading centre,they picked the empty bottles of water,they at last cleanedup the dumping pit because the rubbish was over lapping to the road,the community leadership,the community members appreciated the scouts for commendable work,the community too took the challenge to always clean the trading centre,since the scouts had set the pace and example for them.
