Aaron's Good Deeds

Aaron's Good Deeds

Happy to have found out and proud to say that the skinny Alsatian which have recently came into the shelter last few weeks ago where I spent my time with in my previous visit have been adopted and found her forever home on Sunday which is one day after my volunteer here at PAWS last week and her kennel is now occupied by yet another new comer which is a golden retriever pup with the dog tag 158. Next,2 days later after the skinny Alsatian had gotten adopted, the very huggable senior Golden Retriever named Tata that have been in the shelter for quite a long time have also gotten adopted and found his forever home on Tuesday. On this visit to PAWS I have also brought along one of my friend to help out in the shelter. We walked the dogs, bathe them, spent time with them, and also brought along bread, rawhide dog chewy toys and canned food for them as treats. Sadly not many dogs were bathed, walked and not much volunteers came by as the usual weekend visits due to rain in the early morning, thus we spent our time there playing and accompanying the dogs in the shaded compound along with few other volunteers that came despite the bad weather. However on the bright side, this time round, the dogs we walked, bathe and spent our time with were one of the many senior dogs there that have been abandoned at a very young age or because they were old. Some of the senior dogs were still afraid of us humans and other dogs as well despite being in the shelter for quite some time but some of them were also very friendly and was thrilled to see us when we brought them for a walk. Even though we were not able to do much that day, we're still happy that we were able to make the lives of those few senior dogs a little bit more better, happier and brighter. This may be seen as a small contribute to society and would not change the world, yes but to us this may change the world of one animal :). Cheers!
