BETTER WORLD FRAMEWORK - Webinar was inaugurated by Sri R.K.Kaushik, Director, BS&G, Sri JC Mohanthy, International Commissioner (S), Ms. Ameliaswar, International Commissioner (G), Sri PGR Sindhia, Secretary General, President Council, BS&G, Mr. Jose Rizal C Pangilian, Regional Director, WSB, Asia Pacific Support Centre, Ms. Darshana Pawaskar, JD (G) participated as Guest of Honours for the inaugural programme. 

Day-1 - 05-08-2020 

Sri Madhusudan A.S, International Commissioner (S), BS&G and Consultant, WOSM as a speaker of the 1st Webinar and he explained the purpose of “BWF’ programme. It is to contribute to – SDGs, -Demonstrate Social impact, -Share stories to inspire, -Boost one of many aspects to become active citizens, -Collective and integrated effort, -Inspire local action for global impact, -Align with Youth program, -Incorporate community members.

Day-2 - 06-08-2020

Sri Prasanna Srivastava in his session, he explained about MoP Initiative. He elaborately explained about the evaluation of MoP initiative. He said that, Gifts for peace program of world scouting has inspired over 10 million Scouts in 110 countries to work for peace in their local communities. After that he presented a video on the MoP was taken by young people around the globe. 

Day-3 - 07-08-2020

Ms. Cynthia has started the session on Champion for Natural Challenge - Panda badge and Earth tribe initiative. She started the session very actively by knowing the details of all the participants of the webinar. She has described about Champions for Nature Challenge. She put a question to the participants that- what inspires you to take action and protect our planet?

Day-4 - 08-08-2020

Mr. Syd Castillo, Director, APR of WSB explained about SCOUTS FOR SDGs.  He said that these 17 SDGs are required to transform our world and Sustainable development defined as meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generation. He also described that SDGs are to be achieved 3 core elements i.e., Economic Growth - Social Inclusion and Environmental Protection.Later, he explained about the five Ps - another way to look at SDGs. >People >prosperity >peace >partnership >planet

Day-5 - 18-08-2020

 Dr. Lertchanta Ally, SWA Expert, Asst. Commissioner, Consultant from Thailand has taken the session by saying ‘Thiha’ means ‘Hello’ in Thai to everyone.  In the session she explained about ‘Scouts of the World Award’ What, Why and How.

Day-6 - 19-08-2020

Mr. Syd Castillo, Director, Educational Methods, WSB/APR lead the plenary session on “Dialogue for Peace” and started by asking a question through slide.com.What does PEACE mean to you. Participants have given so many answers like HAPPINESS – total 39 answers received from participants. Simultaneously Mr. Syd played a Hindi audio song ‘Dil To Pagal Hai - Dil Deewana Hai’. Mr. Syd explained that DFP program was developed in close collaboration between WOSM and International Dialogue Centre “KAICIID”

Day-7 - 20-08-2020

Mr. Peter Blatch, Member, WSC has taken the session on “Diversity and Inclusion in Scouting”. Firstly he explained about the overview of the D&I. He explained about what is Diversity and Inclusion and why it is important for Scouts and Guides. Later, he explained about our identities. He explained about what is identity. Identity incorporates the ideas, beliefs, qualities and expressions that make a person who he or she.

Day-8 - 20-08-2020

Ms. Luz L. Taray, Director, Communications and Partnership, WSB and Mr. Kenny Ralph Fernando, Project Officer, Communications and Partnership, WSB has taken the session on “STORY TELLING”. In the session, informed that Story Telling is part of Scouting tradition. Story Telling is a journey connecting with our audience and Story Telling comes in different forms.  While explaining why the STORY TELLING is a journey because it has a beginning, it has middle and it has a conclusion or new direction. She also explain the Basic components of the Story Telling – Who, Why, What, Where, When and How (5Ws and 1H). Later, she explained about the beginning, middle and conclusion of a Story Telling with mentioning examples.
