Empowering Youth For Project Management
In a dynamic two-day training held from June 21 to 22 at the Rwanda Scouts Association Headquarters, the National Youth Forum Committee gathered for a capacity-building workshop on Project Management. Organized under the Youth for Environmental Preservation Project, the training aimed to empower young leaders with practical skills to lead and manage impactful community projects.
A core value of the Youth for Environmental Preservation initiative is youth-led project management and monitoring. This training played a key role in preparing participants for that responsibility while strengthening their overall project management abilities.
The training covered both foundational and practical topics, including:
>Understanding Projects and the Project Cycle
>Project Life Span & Key Elements
>Core Principles of Project Management
>Designing Logframes for Project Logic & Results
>Engaging Stakeholders and Beneficiaries
>Roles of Stakeholders in Planning, Implementation & Monitoring
>Results-Based Monitoring & Evaluation (RBM)
>Resource Mobilization:
>Identifying needs and sources
>Tools, principles, and communication
>Organizational roles in resource efforts
The sessions were interactive, combining presentations, group discussions, and hands-on activities to promote peer learning and practical understanding.
