Hello nature lover! Welcome to Champions for Nature, a challenge for Scouts who want to learn about and promote healthy plant life and wildlife. Thriving biodiversity is key to a healthy planet, so let’s learn more about what lifestyle habits we can adopt and promote as humans to build a better world for all living things.

Champions for Nature Challenge SDGs
In case you didn't know…
- The Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature currently identifies over 42,100 species facing the threat of extinction.
- Biodiversity represents the variety of life forms on our planet, with each organism playing a key role in the balancing and functioning of our global ecosystem.
- A healthy and diverse ecosystem is essential for human survival.
So how can we help protect it?
Take this challenge and you’ll be able to:
- Discover the connection between humans and nature and how ecosystems work.
- Recognize the impact of your everyday choices on the environment.
- Build new habits to save the environment, such as reducing carbon footprint, reducing, reusing and waste management.
- Implement creative solutions for environmental issues in your community.
- Adopt sustainable habits for an eco-friendly and healthy lifestyle.
8 steps to earn your digital badge:
- Agree with your Leader on the activities and community project you want to do.
- Complete a minimum of 5 activities from our activity bank (next page).
- Answer the reflection questions after each activity.
- Complete your community service project related to eco-friendly lifestyles or healthy ecosystems.
- Reflect with your Adult Leader on your experience during the challenge and how your project is making a positive change.
- Share your project story on sdgs.scout.org.
- Wait up to a week for the feedback email.
- Congratulations on a job well done! Your digital badge is in your account.
