What we can do

What inspired me to start this project was the desire to educate young children about the importance of taking care of our planet, starting with water conservation. As water is essential for life, I wanted to help the Cub Scouts understand that even small actions can make a big difference. By teaching them about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at a young age, I hoped to instill in them a sense of responsibility and awareness about protecting our natural resources for future generations.

I executed my project by teaching the Cub Scouts about the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a special focus on water conservation. I explained how water is a vital resource that we need to protect and how small actions in daily life can contribute to global efforts. To make the lesson more engaging, I used interactive activities and real-life examples to help the children understand how they can contribute to water conservation in their own lives.

Through this project, I learned that children can easily understand the importance of water conservation. They realized that water is a limited resource and learned simple actions like turning off the tap while brushing their teeth to help save it. It was rewarding to see them grasp how small actions can make a big impact. This experience highlighted the importance of early education in building environmental responsibility.
