Voluntary Scouting Support at Hajj Camp 2025
During the 2025 Hajj season, we observed a significant need for guidance and care among pilgrims arriving at the Hajj Camp—particularly elderly individuals and those performing Hajj for the first time. Driven by our commitment to community service, we volunteered as Rover Scouts to contribute to the smooth operation of the camp.
Over the course of seven days, we assisted in multiple key areas such as accommodation supervision, entry point coordination, lift operation, and overall crowd regulation. One of responsibilities was to assist pilgrims with downloading and using the “Labbaik” mobile application, helping them navigate their Hajj journey more confidently.
Throughout this project, we gained valuable experience in serving large, diverse crowds with empathy and patience. We developed stronger communication and technical support skills by helping elderly pilgrims use mobile apps. Teamwork, leadership, and coordination were crucial in managing different zones within the camp. Most importantly, we learned how Scouts can positively contribute to national-level humanitarian programs with discipline, respect, and dedication.
