Turning trash into value
The motivation was to inspire friends, family, our school mates and community to reduce, reuse and recycle disposable plastics, as the poor disposal of plastic generates several environmental, social and even economic problems.
The project stared with our wolfs from Alcateia Roca da Paz learning more about the three Rs and defining the project to be developed. First, we created a campaign to collect plastic bottle caps on our community, the second step was to donate the plastic caps to an eldery care institution (Asilo São Vicente de Paulo) and the third was the institution changing the caps to geriatric diapers. Our project contributed to have cleaner planet with a better disposal of plastic and to humanitarian aid.
We learned how we can prevent pollution, reduce, reuse and recycle our plastic waste. Our group identified a way to reuse plastic on our community and contribute to humanitarian aid together with an elderly care institution. Wolfs and their families, friends and members of our scout group (Grupo Tapejara - 23) worked together to collect the plastic caps disseminating the learning on the three Rs.
