Solidarity Saturdays- Donations Transform Smiles
What inspired us most to bring this project to life was the desire to make a difference in the lives of so many children. Every day we see hundreds of sad situations on social media, so the fact that we can make a small difference is extremely significant to us. Through charity at the charity bazaar and by raising money to pay for the treatment of children with cleft lips, we can transform lives and smiles!
The entire project was based on and designed as a way of creating social and environmental impact. Helping children with cleft lips, through a charity bazaar in partnership with ABRAFIS, we collected clothes, toys during scout activities and in our community, in order to reuse and sell them at an affordable price to needy communities. All the money raised at the bazaar was donated to a public hospital where surgery and treatment for cleft lip is performed by a team of doctors.
The most important thing we learned from this project was to think more about others. Lately, we have normalized the tragedies that perpetuate in the world, and this should never have happened. Thus, with our campaign we were able to raise awareness about the crises in the world, solidarity and helping others, as BP told us.
