Relief material distribution among flood victims

This program aims to supply essential items such as food, clean water, clothes, hygiene kits, and temporary shelter materials to flood victims. By addressing their basic needs, we can reduce suffering, prevent disease, and promote human dignity in a time of crisis.
In October 2024, sudden floods struck several areas of Rangpur Division, including Lalmonirhat and Kaunia Upazila. In response, with the support of over seven Rover Units from Rangpur and the NGO OBAT Helpers, we successfully distributed emergency relief to 750 affected families from October 2 to October 7.Each family received a 15 kg relief sack containing essential dry food items such as flattened rice, puffed rice, dates, rice, lentils, potatoes, and biscuits.
The relief distribution initiative among flood-affected families offered valuable insights and lessons that can enhance the effectiveness of future humanitarian efforts. This project reinforced our belief that with collaboration, compassion, and careful planning, we can make a meaningful impact even in the face of natural calamities.
