Project Green Hands -(Tree Plantation Project)

My motivation for this project stems from Scouting values, the Sustainable Development Goals, and inspiration from my troop's impactful initiatives. Witnessing collective efforts for conservation drives me to contribute, promoting biodiversity, combating climate change, and protecting nature for future generations.

The Plantation Project was successfully executed by 14 scouts and 30 soldiers, planting 140 trees in Minneriya's catchment area. Efficient teamwork ensured seamless operations, enhancing the ecosystem and fostering valuable skills in collaboration, conservation, and environmental stewardship.

From the Plantation Project, I learned the importance of teamwork, environmental stewardship, and sustainable practices. Collaborating with scouts and soldiers taught me leadership and coordination skills. I gained insight into how reforestation supports biodiversity, prevents soil erosion, and combats climate change, reinforcing the value of collective action for a greener future.
