We visited Nepal from 15 Aug to 29 Aug to prepare our project on March this year. There were three purposes in this visit. First was to understand how was the present situation after the terrible earthquake. Second was to get knowhow about making disaster support project. Third was to empower the connection with our counter partner, KORC, Nepali rover scouts group. On 19,22 and 28, we held meetings with KORC to discuss how we could make our project better. On 20, we met a staff of JICA. We learned the knowledge about Nepal, especially the needs in the present situation. On 21, we met members of NPO, Pax Earth Nepal. They taught us how to plan project deeply. On 24, we met one district commisioner of Scout Association of Nepal. He showed us the movies of the situation when the earthquake happened, and pictures of the situation when Nepali scouts acted for reconstruction. On 25, we went to Kabre with staffs of NGO, Love Green Japan. We could see the situation of a rural district, and felt difficulty of reconstruction. On 28, we gave stationeries and bags to students who suffered from the earthquake. We used fund raising from Japanese people to buy the goods. Now we are planning the project of disaster prevention with the counter partners. We’ll visit Nepal on 2016 March again.　 私たちは8月15日から29日までネパールでボランティアをするための準備渡航に行きました。 この渡航には3つの目的がありました。1つ目はNGOの職員から話を伺って、国際ボランティアのノウハウを学ぶこと。2つ目は3月のネパールの大震災が起こった後の様子を知ること。そして3つ目は次の3月の本渡航でのプログラムをより良いものにするために、カウンターパートナーのネパールスカウトとの繋がりを強めることです。 8月19,22,28日には先の3つ目の目的を達成するためカウンターパートナー達と会議を開きました。3月にどのようなプログラムを行うのか、どうすればより良くなるのかについて主に話しました。 8月20日にはJICAの職員と面談して、主に震災当時の状況についての話を聞くことができました。 8月21日にはPax Earth Nepalのメンバーの方々がネパールのボランティアに関するノウハウを伝授してくれました。 8月24日にはネパール連盟の地区コミッショナーの方の家に訪問し、地震発生直後のスカウトの様子を写真や動画で見せてもらいました。 8月25日にはラブグリーンジャパンが平生、活動を行っているカブレ地区の村に訪問しました。そこでは震災後の爪痕が所々に残っており、復興の難しさを改めて感じました。 8月28日にはカウンターパートナーと共に震災の被害を受けた学校に赴き、日本からの募金を使って文房具やバッグを贈りました。 私たちは今カウンターパートナーと共にプログラムを計画しており、そのプログラムを次の3月に実施するつもりです。
