Mvula PS literacy beyond the classroom
The project aimed to expand learners’ experiences beyond their normal environment, encouraging exploration and literacy development in creative ways.
Yeboneers facilitated reading and comprehension exercises, adapted to learners’ diverse needs, even without access to a local library.
Learners had varied abilities: some could read but not comprehend. Yeboneers learned the value of translations, individualized attention, and making literacy accessible to all learners.
