Individual Urban Biodiversity monitoring
I was inspired by the beautiful urban wildlife around my local area, especially after seeing pairs of local birds and vibrant Variegated Hibiscus flowers thriving at the local park. I wanted to observe and learn how to protect this mini-ecosystem.
The project was implemented individually at Taman Margorejo Indah. I executed it by conducting a 3-hour field monitoring, documenting the flora and fauna species, and watering the plants to keep the habitat healthy.
The project successfully documented a basic urban biodiversity record and helped maintain the park plants, ensuring a healthier and safer shelter for the local birds to survive.
I learned that even small urban green spaces hold rich biodiversity that plays a huge role for local wildlife. To make it better, I would love to invite more friends from my Scout troop next time to expand our environmental monitoring
