Healthy Mother, Healthy Child

We were inspired to start this project after observing that many mothers in our community lacked proper knowledge about child nutrition and health care. As members of the Metropolitan University Rover Scouts Group, we felt a social responsibility to raise awareness and share basic yet vital information that can ensure a healthier future for children. Our motivation came from the belief that educated mothers can build a stronger, healthier generation.
We formed a team of 8 Rover Scouts from Metropolitan University. After identifying the lack of awareness among local mothers, we organized a community seminar on child nutrition and health. Using posters and simple presentations, we explained key health messages, answered their questions, and encouraged healthy lifestyle practices.
Through this project, we learned the importance of community engagement and effective communication. We realized that even simple health information can make a big difference when delivered in an accessible way. Working as a team strengthened our leadership, planning, and interpersonal skills. Most importantly, we understood that small initiatives can have a meaningful impact on marginalized communities.
