Greening Brigada Eskwela 2025
In support of Brigada Eskwela 2025, this campus-based tree planting activity aims to foster environmental awareness and sustainability among Scouts and the school community. By engaging in reforestation efforts, Scouts will learn the value of biodiversity, contribute to a greener campus, and strengthen teamwork and service in line with Scouting and Brigada Eskwela goals.
Under the close supervision of Sir Neoriente Ferrer, ALT, the activity brought together 5 Scout Leaders, 27 senior scouts and together, they planted a total of 200 seedlings around the campus, strategically placing them for maximum environmental impact and future growth. The species included 80 Mangosteen trees, known for their fruit-bearing benefits, and 120 Narra trees, the Philippine national tree valued for its ecological and symbolic significance.
The activity was generally well-executed with no major logistical issues. However, the warm weather presented physical challenges during the planting, requiring periodic breaks and hydration. Coordination of planting spots within an active school environment also demanded careful planning to avoid obstructing existing structures or walkways. Despite these, the Scouts displayed adaptability and discipline throughout the activity.
