"Fruit Festival for the Underprivileged"
We were inspired by the spirit of the July martyrs, whose sacrifice taught us the true meaning of service and humanity. As Rover Scouts, we wanted to honor them through action by standing beside underprivileged people — and that’s how the idea of the Fruit Festival was born.
We formed a small planning team and collected voluntary contributions from our fellow Rovers. With the funds, we purchased fresh fruits, packed them ourselves, and chose Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar as the venue to honor the martyrs of July. On the event day, around 40 Rovers gathered to distribute the fruits among underprivileged children and people, reflecting our commitment to service and compassion.
We learned that small efforts combined can create a significant impact. Self-funding the project taught us the importance of teamwork and responsibility. Interacting directly with the underprivileged helped us truly understand the meaning of humanity. Additionally, we realized how crucial it is to transform social responsibility and patriotism into meaningful action.
