Sri Lanka got affected by the floods and land slides on the month of may 2017 though the flood became to drain away with time people had a difficult time in settling back most of the houses were covered up with mud and some people were still in refuge camps due to destruction of houses from land slides and floods. the meteorological department of srilanka had said that there was a chance for upcoming land slides in baduluelliya area so most of the people were in the temples and refuge camps. the youth council of srilanka was active in donating dry rations and food items for the affected people where one of my school mates who was in the youth council was doing a project for the flood relief. after hearing of this news i joined my hands with him and together we carried out the project. after we successfully complete the project the scout association of sri lanka was also active in the flood relief work as the troop leader of vidura college i my self with my fellow scouts helped the association by going with them for the refuge camps and helping people out there.
