EcoRise: Green Skills Orientation
The team is motivated to equip Scouts and Scout leaders with green skills and knowledge to take meaningful climate action in their communities. Through the Green Skills Youth-Led Climate Action Around Green Rising initiative, we aim to inspire leadership, align community service efforts, and ensure consistent reporting—empowering Scouts to lead lasting, sustainable change.
With purpose and enthusiasm, the virtual gathering brought together Scouts and leaders in a shared mission for climate action. Through engaging sessions on green skills, the Green Rising initiative, and the Champions for Nature Challenge, participants were empowered to take meaningful action in their communities. The goal-setting session provided a clear direction and strengthened their commitment, ending the event with renewed energy and a united drive to build a greener future.
The importance of active engagement and curiosity was shown by participants who eagerly asked questions and sought to understand the project more deeply. The strong support from Council Commissioners, core group members, and key government leaders demonstrated that collaboration across all levels is essential for driving impactful and sustainable initiatives. This reinforced the value of unity and shared responsibility in achieving common climate goals.
