Distribution of food to childre in floods

Many people have been affected by the devastating floods in the Noakhali region. Due to the rising water level, public life in many areas of Noakhali has come to a standstill and countless people are not getting enough food. Seeing the situation of helpless children trapped in the flood waters and lacking nutritious food, I came forward out of a sense of responsibility as a scout.
Along with my team members, we have taken the initiative to distribute nutritious food and essential items to the flood affected children. We distributed nutritious milk and cakes, juices etc. to 300 children. Along with that, we have been able to deliver nutritious food to children in several other centers in the region and we have been able to continue this program.
I have come to understand that the true meaning of service is to be by people's side in the most dangerous times. Standing by those who are engaged in a life-and-death struggle in the water and delivering a small amount of food means showing them a new ray of hope for survival. When I see the relief and touch of hope on the faces of those helpless children, I feel that my service has been worthwhile.
