Celebrating World Environment Day

As a good citizen of the state we should take good care of our environment and maintain bio diversity by taking measures against it.

Bangladesh has been experiencing an unprecedented heatwave in 2024, marked by record-breaking temperatures and severe impacts on daily life. In April 2024, the country recorded its highest temperatures since 1948, with averages ranging from 40 to 42 degrees Celsius (104 to 107.6 degrees Fahrenheit) across over 80% of the country. This prolonged heatwave has severely affected northern, northeastern, and northwestern regions, as well as major divisions such as Dhaka and khulna.

To combat heat, cities are implementing measures such as planting trees, creating green roofs, and designing buildings for better ventilation and cooling. Public health initiatives include heat warning systems and cooling centers.
