Boranka

Extremely large areas of forests are suffering in large fires. The global increase in temperatures and dry periods, caused by climate change, further affects the occurrence and spread of fires. The project will enable planting thousands of new trees, contribute to the revitalization of areas burned by wild fires, educate children and youth about the importance of forests, nature preservation and climate crisis.
Boranka is an interactive campaign aimed at raising the awareness of citizens, especially children, about the importance of forests, nature protection, fire prevention, the consequences of global warming and climate crisis. It consist of 2 main activities: Educational activities and reforestation activities. Educational activities take place in schools. Tree planting actions take place on weekends during the Fall, when the best planting conditions are in nature.
The reforestation activities have the biggest impact on the community members and beyond. Because of the reforestation, in the future those areas will again be green and appealing to community members and visitors/tourist. Nature, trees and green areas are things that definitely attract visitors when coming, and are the reasons why would visitors come somewhere. Our vision is that each of them will benefit from reforestation activities in the future.
