TSAM: Days that led to innovation and progress

The Scout Association of Mongolia achieved significant milestones in their National Scout Organization by kickstarting their preparations for the National Scout Jamboree with a review and assessment of their National Safe from Harm (SFH) Policy and Procedures. Afterwards, the SFH Policy Development Workshop and Listening Ear Training was held from 13-18 June 2024, demonstrating the Association's commitment to enhancing child safeguarding policies. Under the expert guidance of a dedicated professional team, including Malcolm Tan Ban Hoe, Mohammad Laiyin Nento, and Syd Castillo, led by the esteemed Regional Director of the WOSM Asia-Pacific Region, J Rizal C. Pangilinan, the Scout Association of Mongolia has embarked on a journey to enhance their child safeguarding policies and processes. With the expansion of the child protection policy in Mongolia, the Scout Association of Mongolia is proactively working to improve the principles and documents that adhere to its activities, following international standards, being child-friendly, and being free from threats that support their development and participation. This proactive approach demonstrates the commitment to continuous improvement. The next phase of their journey involves revising and further developing the National Safe from Harm Policy and Procedures. Over the next nine (9) months, the Scout Association of Mongolia will be focusing on applying what they learned from both the Policy and Procedures Development Workshop and Listening Ear Training, with the aim of achieving a significant milestone in their child safeguarding efforts.
