Ticket To Life hike
Amidst a scenic view in Sangaygang, Thimphu 32 Scouts belonging to the Inclusive Explorer troop of the Bhutan Scouts Association gathered together to embark on a thrilling adventure last May 18, 2024.
This adventure served as a stepping stone toward more advanced outdoor activities, such as backpacking and wilderness survival. It also served as a means for them to enhance their basic skills.
This is evidenced because as the troop trekked the 2,685 metres, they enhanced their navigational skills along the way. Throughout their hike, the 32 Scouts were taught the proper way of using a compass and navigate the pre-made trails. There were breaks wherein they were taught first aid and the proper ways of planning and preparation.
The troop strictly enforced a LEAVE NO TRACE ETHIC to ensure the preservation of the mountain and to set as an example to all tourists and visitors. The troop ended their adventure on a high note with the promises of being better individuals in the future.
