On 17th June 2017, with the support from Sarpang Forestry Division, Lharing Nachung Scouts, Sarpang conducted rally on 'Save the Tiger.' The rally started from Saguri to Lharing Primary School with students carring various banners, bearing different slogans. This simple advocacy program was carried out (as there exist only countable number of tigers in the world) to educate the near-by community on the importance of tigers in the Eco-system and Creating Awareness on saving tigers. The school Principal talked about importance of tigers in the eco-system and later shown related videos on saving tigers. The event was very much educational, fun-learning and of course full of excitements. The children in particular promised to further spread the message of 'Save Tigers' to their friends and family. I would like to thank Principal, teachers, students and the parents for their continued support.
