During the 4th Youth Forum of the Abidjan Region, I had the honor of participating as a former youth advisor and member of the organizing committee. This enriching experience allowed me to actively contribute to the preparation and smooth running of the event, particularly through the management of the program and the various forum activities. Beyond the organizational aspect, I also facilitated several training workshops for the young participants. The topics covered included identifying problems within communities, the Scout framework for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as other practical tools aimed at strengthening youth civic and community engagement. These training sessions were designed to go beyond the forum itself. The objective was to encourage participants to form working groups and develop community impact projects over the course of one year. These initiatives are part of the project I coordinate in my role as Assistant to the Regional Commissioner in charge of Youth Engagement and International Programs, namely: "Requineaux for SDG." Through this project, we encourage young people to become true agents of change, capable of identifying challenges within their communities and proposing concrete, innovative solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The 4th Youth Forum of the Abidjan Region therefore served as a space for learning, sharing, and collaboration, strengthening young people’s commitment to community development and responsible leadership. This experience will remain a significant milestone in my journey, while reaffirming my belief that young people play an essential role in the positive transformation of our communities.
