On the 8th and 9th of June 2024, I attended a first aid training camp at Rowallan Scouts Camp where we got trained by The St Johns Ambulance on basic first aid skills. I learned the different types of casualties, the 5Bs, and M, the DRABC, incident management, triage tags, casualty management, and how to take care of other casualties, i.e the conscious and the unconscious ones. We learned a lot more in the practical setting such as doing the CPR, the Heimlich Maneuver, recovery position, and many other techniques.
