V.O.Chidambaram Scout Group after the discussion with our Group Leader/Scouts, we had observed World Environment Day on 05th & 06th June 2015 at Regional Rail Museum, ICF, Chennai-600038 by planting saplings in the Museum premises. On 05th June 2015 our group Rovers assembled at Regional Rail Museum and cleaned the plantation area and plant the saplings at 12.00 pm noon, by evening Mr. S. Srinivas, CDE/Mech., had graced the occasion by planting 3 saplings and appreciated Scouts work, Mr. D. Sivagnanamoorthy, Curator/RRM, planted saplings. On 06th June 2015 Our group Cubs, Scouts and Rovers leaders were assembled at Museum premises by 3.30 pm. Our Group founder Mr. S.R. Tamil Selvan, LT/Scouts had grace the occasion with his blessings. Then the Scouts and Guides started planting saplings. Event was anchored by Mr. M.B. Vasu, ALT/S, welcome address was given by Mr. C.I. Sivanandam, ALT/R. Mr. S.R. Tamil Selvan, LT/Scouts, had given the brief information of growing trees in our home and its importance. Mr. D. Sivagnanamoorthy spoke about the role of Scouts on Growing Plants and Conservation. Vote of thanks delivered by Mr. C. Ravichandran, ALT/R, The event concluded with National Anthem.
