On 20th January 2018 a few teachers along with (IX standard)Scout and Guide students of Blue Ridge Public School started for Vanvasi Asharam , Jambivli at 6:30 a.m sharp. It was decided to visit the hostel, primary and secondary school. Blue Ridge Public School carrries out a ‘Joy of Giving’ activity every year. The students and the staff are asked willingly to donate some essential commodities required for daily use. The sole purpose of visiting this asharam was to interact with the staff and students of the Asharam school and personally handover the donated items. After reaching our destination as planned our teachers and students got divided into three groups. Few teachers and students interacted with the primary students through an Art activity. The students of the school thoroughly enjoyed making paper purse, cap and a tumbling toy. Meanwhile few teachers along with our students conducted games on the playground. Simultaneously the secondary students were made aware about the importance of washing hands at five different occasions of the day by a short lecture on ‘ Cleanliness’ and ‘Hand Wash Programme’ run by WAGGS. The session ended by gifting the school with a trash box. To make the session more lively and interactive games were conducted followed by spot prizes. Blue Ridge Public School also donated the school few academic textbooks. In the afternoon we visited the hostel. The commodities collected by the staff and students were handed over there. Thereafter the staff and students of the Asharam showed their hospitality by serving hot and delicious lunch to us. At around 3:00 p.m we started our return journey. We reached safely at 5:30p.m.
