Trees for Peace

The Kisii University Flamingo Rover scouts have continued to create a social value in serving humanity through simple but consistent actions of environmental conservation. Since 2015, the group working with their scout leader got a grant from the National Bank of Kenya and planted 300,000 indigenous trees in many parts of the country. According to the scout leader, "Trees continue to remind us of our call to work and grow towards a better world. We are investing for the future because all we have is a loan from the past and trees are the best way to remind us to tend our future with care."
