We the scouts of 21st Colombo Scout Troop wanted to do a community service due to world children’s day celebrations by distributing • School bags • Musical instruments including uniforms for the western band • Sports items • Library books • Stationary items • Cloths We collected these items from two weeks back and packed them with the love which is in our hearts. On the 1st October 2016 we got together at our school packed them to our bus, and stared our journey. When we were at Madduma Bandara Junior School we saw the faces of the students which were filled with happiness. There was a worm welcome by the students and teachers At the school and we had a talk with the teachers and the students and got to know about the school. There are about 40 to 50 students and 10 to 15 teachers. As they told us most of the students could not bear with their meals. Some doesn’t have a place to stay. But they were happy as we selected them to help in their future.
